Brock University, a public research university located in the Niagara region, is one of Canada’s top post-secondary institutions. Focusing on experiential education opportunities, programs are designed with a student’s future career in mind.

Brock University has 8 different faculties and schools, with over 70 programs at the undergraduate level, and 50 programs at the graduate level. Brock offers the following faculties:

Brock plays host to 7 research institutes, including the Canada-Caribbean Institute, Social Justice Research Institute, and the Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute (CCOVI).
There are 8 research centers at Brock, including the Center for Business Analytics that brings together faculty from various disciplines across the University, as well as alumni and industry partners, to support an interdisciplinary team of data analytics researchers and their data analytics programs, act as a source of expertise for both public and private sectors, and foster a training hub for the next generation of data scientists.
The Faculty
IS:link students coming to Brock as a free mover can take courses in all six of Brock’s teaching faculties, including Mathematics and Science, Social Sciences, Applied Health Sciences, Humanities, Education and the Goodman school of Business.
Notable programs for IS:Link students include Information Systems (Goodman School of Business), Computer Science (Mathematics and Science) and Data Sciences and Analytics (Mathematics and Science).
Information Systems classes provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to analyze business processes and identify ways to improve those processes through innovative application of information technologies.
Computer science classes explore data structures, operating systems, database systems, industry-standard programming languages, software engineering and user interfaces.
Data science and Analytics is one of only two BSc programs in Canada combining financial analytics with computational data science. The program bridges the gap between computational data sciences and business analytics, providing students with skills in programming for big data, data infrastructures, computational statistics, data mining, business analytics, and management of information systems.
In addition, free mover students can take elective courses out of many other faculties at Brock, including Sport Management, Forensic Psychology and Criminal Justice, Kinesiology, and Grape and Wine Science.
Student life

From student involvement activities to fitness and recreation, the student life at Brock is active and engaging, supported by being ranked #1 in Ontario for overall student satisfaction. Brock has a number of campus traditions including the "Homecoming Grape Stomp". This one-of-a-kind annual event is a celebration of Niagara's deep roots in the wine industry that allows students to stomp and slide on grapes in barrels – the old fashioned way.
Students at Brock have access to excellent academic support, nationally recognized personal health and wellness services, and over 100 student run clubs so students can make the most out of their time at Brock.
Campus life
Brock University’s main campus is located within the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Niagara Escarpment Biosphere Reserve, which is one of only 16 reserves in Canada. Students enjoy the many hiking trails that surround and run through the main campus. Brock’s main campus is constantly expanding yet remains compact enough to walk to any building in under 15 minutes. Main campus is home to many dining options, including Isaacs - an own bar and grill. Brock is multi-disciplinary, meaning students may have classes in any building on campus.
Exchange students have the option to live on campus in one of the university's residence buildings. Living on campus offers a very typical North American experience. If students prefer off-campus housing, they do have a lot of options to rent off-campus in a close-by neighborhood. While it is not as convenient as living on campus, most areas around the campus is accessible via the local transportation system.
City of St. Catharines
St. Catharines is the principal city of the in Niagara Region and has a population of roughly 140,000 people. It is located approximately 1.5 hours south of Toronto, about 20 minutes from the world-famous Niagara Falls and in heart of Niagara’s wine country, Downtown St. Catharines is only a bus ride away from Brock, and offers a multitude of dining, shopping options, and entertainment options, including boutiques, cafes, and an arena for local sports games.
Niagara on the Lake is another historic location in the region, known for its wineries, shopping, dining, and theatre experiences.
