University
The University of Liechtenstein was founded in 1962 and has 800 enrolled students in Bachelor, Master and Doctoral programmes.3 The vision and goal of the University is to educate qualified specialists in the fields of architecture and spatial development, entrepreneurship, finance, business law and business informatics.
In its research, it focuses primarily on meeting current requirements and challenges as well as regional needs and making a contribution to science, business and society. The focus is on the exchange of knowledge and cooperation between practice and research.

There are five institutes at the University of Liechtenstein:5
- Institutes for Architecture and Spatial Development
- Institute of Finance
- Institute for Entrepreneurship
- Institute for Business Informatics
- Institute for Economic Law
All research activities of the university are based on the five research foci and include current topics of the different institutes:6
- Sustainable planning and building
- Growth and complexity
- Wealth Management
- IT and Business Process Management
- Business law
The Faculty
For IS:link students, the Institute for Information Systems is of central importance. The aim of the institute is to pursue current technologies of the digital age and to make them applicable in a business context. Accordingly, the research areas are always related to relevant questions or emerging problems in the business world:

- Big Data Analytics
- Enterprise Resource Planning
- Culture Assessment
- Digital Nudging
The results in the listed research areas are always achieved in cooperation with industry.7
Within the framework of the Bachelor's programme, the Faculty offers the Business Studies programme with the specialisation Information Management and Information Technology. In the Master's programme, the programme Business Information Technology is offered and there is the possibility to do a doctorate in the programme Economics in the field of Information and Process Management.8
In addition, further education opportunities are offered, such as SAP certifications or seminars on the topic of "Digitisation".9
The institute is a member of the European Research Center for Information Systems (ERICS), a network in the field of business information systems, which plans joint project seminars, lecture units and exchange programmes.

Student life
Due to its location in the Alpine region, the University of Liechtenstein offers students a wide range of landscapes and the opportunity to explore them. In addition, cities such as Zurich, Munich and Milan can be reached within one to two and a half hours by car.1
City of Vaduz
The university is located in the capital Vaduz. Vaduz is the heart of the financial sector and, as an important business location, promotes innovation and ideas through its Technopark by supporting start-ups.14
The city has a lot to offer not only economically, but also in terms of culture and leisure. In addition to the six museums, which range from the historical Landesmuseum to the art museum, musicals and the TAK Theatre can be visited.15 Historical buildings such as the 13th century Vaduz Castle or the exploration of Vaduz with the Citytrain are also worthwhile sightseeing.
