University
Chung-Ang University (CAU) was founded in 1918 and is a private university with 30,000 students and 982 faculty members. The university comprises 10 undergraduate colleges and 16 graduate schools on two campuses in Seoul and Anseong, Korea.4

The CAU's research and teaching is spread over two campuses:
The Seoul campus of Chung-Ang University, which also houses the Faculty of Business Administration, is located in the heart of Seoul on the south side of the Han River.
The Anseong Campus is located on the outskirts of Anseong City in Gyeonggi-do Province, about one and a half hours from the Seoul Campus.
Both campuses are connected by regular shuttle buses.5

The School of Business Administration serves to promote an economic understanding of the role of business in a technology-driven society.6

The following information could be important for studying abroad at Chung-Ang University:
- The summer months in South Korea are warm and humid, the winter months with an average of 7°- 1° C are rather cold.
- The Korean currency is called "Won".
- Seoul has a well-developed public transport system, so that movement within the 9 million metropolis is guaranteed. However, it is important to bear in mind the high level of congestion and the complications associated with rush hour rush hour when travelling within the city.7
Campus life
The Chung-Ang Hanmadang is held on the campus every October on the occasion of the anniversary of the university. The festival itself offers a variety of academic, artistic and physical activities in which students, teachers and the local community can participate.8
City of Seoul
Seoul is the centre of all political, economic and cultural activities in South Korea. Many national industrial companies are located in Seoul and in the immediate vicinity of the city. The capital Seoul serves as the hub of the South Korean transport network. Furthermore, Seoul is considered one of the ten largest financial and commercial centres in the world. Large multinational companies such as Samsung, LG and Hyundai-Kia are based there.
Furthermore, Seoul has a highly technologically advanced infrastructure, which makes the city a global pioneer in the field of mobile high-speed internet and broadband penetration, for example. South Korea has traditionally maintained a diverse cultural and artistic scene. The city of Seoul offers a variety of attractions, events, activities both day and night.9
