Student life

Student life takes place on three campuses:
The Seminaarinmäki campus, which is located about one kilometer from the city center, the Mattilanniemi campus by Lake Jyväsjärvi and the Ylistön channel on the lakeside opposite the Mattilanniemi campus.

For IS:link students, the Mattilanniemi Campus is especially important, as it is home to the Faculty of Information Technology.6

Campus life

The city offers various possibilities to move around. Be it by local bus, long distance buses, bicycle or train, where especially students can enjoy discounts.7

Organizations such as the Central Finland Student Housing Foundation, KOAS and Kortepohja student village - Soihtu offer accommodation and serve as first points of contact for exchange students.8 The campus offers various sports facilities: From aerobics, snowboarding, to various ball sports, everything is available.9

City of Jyväskylä

Jyväskylä is the perfect place to pursue your hobbies or discover new hobbies for yourself. For example, there is the possibility of music education at various institutions, such as Artmus (music and dance school) or participation in choirs and orchestras. For those who do not want to miss theater and cinema, there are also numerous offers available. Not only in the city itself, but also on the campus there are for example the "Kampus Kino" or the Jyväskylä University Student Theatre.10
